Easter Entertaining Inspiration

Easter means celebrating with family, friends and of course, some great food! From the breakfast nook to the dinner table, Easter is not complete at my house without a Smithfield Spiral Sliced Ham! These famous hickory-smoked hams are already perfectly cooked, hand trimmed and uniformly sliced.

It’s delicious and super easy to prepare for any meal, but during those holiday get together's it’s the best way to make entertaining both headache and hassle-free, so you can get out of the kitchen and spend more time with family and friends. Something I think we can all appreciate.

A lot of people don’t realize how easy ham is to prepare. Just pop it in the oven at 275 degrees for about 10 – 12 minutes per pound, then evenly brush on the glaze and you’re done. How’s that for taking the stress out of cooking?! It’s so versatile, these hams are perfect for any Easter celebration, any time of day, whether that’s Easter brunch or an evening get together - or both! As you can see there’s plenty to go around. Even better, they have a variety of mouthwatering glaze flavors, like Salted Caramel, Pecan Praline and Brown Sugar. Enough options to appeal to any palate.

And to really impress your guests, try the all-new Baked Apple Spice Spiral Sliced Ham, part of Smithfield’s premium Smokehouse Reserve line. It contains a unique two-part glaze to enhance and lock in the rich apple spice flavor, creating a warm, delectable crust. So delicious!

Obviously, you can serve these hams as-is or you can get creative with your recipes! I like incorporating ham into all kinds of dishes, like this frittata I made with spinach, caramelized onion and cheddar cheese.

You can use whatever you want, though, like bacon or sausage! I also made these Ham & Brie Crostini for an easy appetizer any guest can appreciate.

You can find both of these recipes and even more inspiration at It will be your most savory and sensational holiday yet!
