A New Mommy Must Have

As ANY parent can tell you, there are sooo many items out there that “claim” to help make life with a baby easier for you. And as a mom of two, I’ve had my fair share of trial and error. So I’m going to save your the trouble of sifting through shelves and shelves of products, and share one of MY personal Mom Approved must have.

This product helped me tremendously when both Jack and Charlie were newborns. There’s nothing more stressful as a new parent than watching your little one deal with a gassy belly. It’s really common in infants and as many as 3 out of 4 babies suffer from it. It can happen in so many ways so here are some common sings to watch out for:

o Baby is crying even though you’ve already changed and fed him/her

o Baby has a hard time burping or spits up a lot

o Baby is kicking/pumping his/her legs

o Baby’s belly looks bloated or full

o You’ve tried more than one bottle/nipple type

o You’ve switched formulas to help with fussiness or considered an elimination diet if nursing

When my babies were cranky, crying and uncomfortable I made sure to have this one product on hand.

It’s called Infants’ Mylicon Drops and it’s been around for generations. You can drop it into baby’s mouth or there’s other options to add it directly to formula or bottled breast milk. The active ingredient is Simethicone, which is incredibly safe and you can use it at every feeding, up to 12 times a day. It basically helps babies speed up the natural process of getting rid of gas. It gently breaks up the gas bubbles so your baby gets relief, quickly!

Infants' Mylicon Drops are actually the #1 pediatrician recommended brand for treating infant gas so this is definitely something you'll need to have on hand with a little one!

You can find it at all national retailers including Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid, Walmart, and Target, most local food and drug stores, and many online retailers including Amazon and And be sure to check out for more info.
