Baby Safety Month: A Well Equipped Nursery

September is Baby Safety month so it’s the perfect time to make sure your nursery is equipped with the best items for your little one - whether they’re growing fast, or even just fresh from the delivery room. Since I’ve been down this magical road of motherhood, I thought I’d help out any new parents with a few peace of mind items!

First up, blackout curtains really help the baby adjust to sleeping outside the womb. The added darkness allows them to fully relax and sleep well...which is prime time for healthy growing, so be sure to put this on your list!

The next must-have item is a baby monitor and not just any monitor will do. You’ll want one that is reliable and has all the features you need that also matches your lifestyle. Check out this VTech VM4261 Video Monitor with a Wide-Angle Lens and Pan & Tilt Camera. It helps you see the entire nursery at once!

The panning feature, which lets you go side to side and up and down is a game changer!

Little ones grow fast and soon they’ll be hiding and playing in all the corners of their room. With 170 degree panoramic view and the long range parent unit, you’ll be able to enjoy watching them in all their mischievous ways, from anywhere in the house!

The 4.3 inch screen is large enough to see small details like your little one smiling and the automatic infrared night vision allows you to see clearly while the lights are out at nap time or bedtime.

Plus, everyone knows babies love being soothed. So if you don’t have the best singing voice, don’t worry! This unit includes four natural sounds and five lullabies! Plus it has a temperature sensor...ensuring a restful time for your baby...and you!

Best of all, if your little one has a bad dream, you can let them know you’re on the way with a two-way, talk back intercom, so you can comfort your baby, even before you get to the cribside.

And my last tip for new parents... a nursery isn’t complete without a way to measure the baby’s growth! Be sure to make height marks on a spare piece of trim, so if you ever move homes, you’ll be able to take these memories with you!

With these items your nursery will be ready for all the years of love and you’ll have peace of mind every step of the way. Visit Walmart.com to pick up a VTech VM4261 Video Baby Monitor!
